Healthy eating is also very much on the menu, with gut-friendly food and plant-based protein on the menu. The one we can’t wait to try is Heme, the sustainable meat alternative.
Bon Appetit magazine thinks that Portugese cuisine and the European-style Wine Bar are two dining trends that’ll come into force this year. The ingredient that’ll make its mark is the humble lotus root, which is often used in Chinese cooking. Light Japanese breakfasts (pictured above) to start the day instead of eggy muffins and bland cereal? We definitely approve.
At Forbes, it’s no surprise that the financial site expects Gold will be a trend in 2018. Other trends include unique seasonings, such as ground oyster shells or tree bark, as well as the use of flowers.
